Important Things To Know About Graphic Card

GPU: To put it simply, GPU stands for the graphics processing unit. Many people refer to graphics cards as GPUs as well. However, the GPU is the actual chip that powers the video card itself. A GPU can use different architectures across generations. Typically, manufacturers try to shrink the size of transistors and other features to fit more of them on the chip. The size of these GPUs is measured in nanometers, like 12nm, 7nm, and so on.

VRAM: VRAM or Video RAM is the actual memory on the GPU itself. This works just like the memory or RAM on the motherboard does. It stores textures and images that are on the screen. While a higher amount of VRAM won’t give better performance, a low amount of it means that sometimes textures or other features can disappear or “pop-in”. Typically, you need at least 4 gigs of VRAM these days, while higher resolutions might demand more. This usually depends on the game and the resolution you are playing at

GPU Cores: If you are familiar with cores on a processor, the general idea is the same here. The cores handle the actual processing that goes on inside the GPU. Nvidia calls these cores CUDA Cores, and AMD refers to them as Steam Processors. There is a lot more to the story, but that should get you up to speed. The number of cores isn’t an exact representation of performance.

Market & OLX: We always prefer Market & OLX, but there are many things to be checked before buying any Graphic card from OLX or Offline Market, Rightnow Graphic Card Prices in Pakistan are very high & there is no chance of becoming low anytime soon, So many shops are stocking different Budget Graphic Cards specially GTX 750Ti, GTX 660Ti, AMD Rx 470 or Rx 570 etc. So try to visit offline market properly to find best Graphic Card in Best Price. Now talking about OLX, Not many people knows how to buy graphic cards on OLX, So i will always suggest you to contact any expert or try to avoid fake ads or catchy ads like RTX 3060 in 20,000 Rupees etc, Also always double check your Graphic Card before buying from OLX.

        Nvidia

Nvidia is one of the two big players when it comes to graphics cards for gaming. They are an American multinational company based in Santa Clara, California. Nvidia makes GPUs for gaming and professional use, as well as SOCs or chips for mobile computing. Their main product line is called GeForce.

        AMD

PC Gamers will always compare AMD and Nvidia, just how console players will always compare Playstation, Xbox, and Nintendo. AMD has been Nvidia’s main rival for a long time now. Both of these companies manufacture graphics cards, and they often compete for the top spot. For the longest time, Nvidia has held the crown when it comes to high-end performance. However, AMD always offers great value in the budget and mid-range area.

All of that can change quite quickly. We’ve seen AMD give Intel a run for their money in the world of processors. We would not be surprised if AMD and Nvidia start cranking up the heat in this competition. AMD is also an American multinational company, and they are also based in Santa Clara, California.

AMD’s main product line is the Radeon series of Graphics Cards.
